Ancient Bones

Geologists that worked in the desert have recently come across deposits of fossilized remains of creatures that had disappeared from Aelion long before humans had made their first appearance. The very next day, Asterius, the God Chronicler, began preparations for a paleontological expedition.

A powerful electromagnetic anomaly has been observed in the excavations area, which interferes with the operation of mechanical vehicles and scientific equipment. That means that not only will the members of the expedition have to revert to their old ways, they will also have to change their gravicycles and gliders to Moahsaurs—aggressive and agile predators, essential to the everyday life and culture of aborigines. The scientists were not quite impressed with the turn of events, however, unlike the adepts of gods, who were simply delighted: many of them have dreamt of riding one since their childhoods.
