The Reapers of Death, Thanatos's minions, have attacked Aelion before, but now for the first time in many hundreds of years, their army has new battle machines - mechanical Moahsaurs.
Unfortunately, Flavius was unable to get his hands on a working example: in the heat of battle immortals usually, don't spare a thought for scientific samples. Flavius wasn't even able to get a whole machine, however, several rather large pieces of this amazing machine did make it to his lab.
And, despite that fact that technologically these machines were unique, Flavius was much more interested in the hallmark he found on each large piece of machinery. It seemed familiar to him and he showed it to Asterius.
With the help of the knowledge stored in the Divine Observatory, Asterius was able to find out that it had been the emblem of the New Aelion movement, which had gone against the Council of Gods but had ceased to exist several centuries ago.
Flavius believes this needs to be looked into properly because the hallmarks he saw looked very fresh.
